A judge's ruling earlier this year struck down the state's voter ID law, which means you do not need an ID To cast a ballot. However, if you're a first-time voter, you will need to show some sort of identification.

"Basically they'll just vote as though his name is not on the ballot. If they want to vote for him, they'll actually have to do a write in,” said Aines.
In the last non-presidential primary election, the voter turnout in
"Based on the number of absentee ballot applications, and phone calls, I think [the voter turnout] will still be fairly light,” said Aines. “It may be higher in some areas where they have a [contested] race."
Election officials say regardless of the turnout, they are prepared for Tuesday. They will have staff on hand to quickly address any potential issues with voting machines and procedures.
