Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago Cubs placed relief pitcher Neil Ramirez on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with right triceps soreness.
The move is retroactive to Saturday, a day after the rookie right-hander gave up a single and threw a wild pitch in the eighth inning of a win over St. Louis.
Ramirez, 25, has an 0.96 ERA over 33 games this season with 36 strikeouts in 28 innings.
