Attempted kidnapping and murder suspect back to face charges in New York

ELMIRA, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - The man accused of murdering a local mailman is back in New York.

32-year-old Curtis Burrows was being held in Tioga County, Pennsylvania and had been fighting extradition back to New York. He finally waived that today.

Police say his crime spree began with the attempted kidnapping of a Corning woman.

He stole her car but crashed it on the Steuben-Chemung County line.

He is then accused of breaking into a Big Flats home and fatally shooting 60-year old Timothy Webster and taking his car.

Burrows was arrested in Tioga County, Pa. following a manhunt.
