Bath Man Facing Attempted Assault Charge After Beating Father

JASPER, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - A Bath man is facing a felony Attempted Assault charge after allegedly beating his father early Saturday morning--putting him in the hospital.

Christopher Quick, 37, allegedly struck his father repeatedly at a home in the Town of Jasper around 2 a.m. Saturday. New York State Police in Bath said the victim suffered from orbital fractures, puncture wounds to his chest, and lacerations to his head, hands and face.

The victim was first treated at Corning Hospital before being transferred to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.

Quick was sent to the Steuben County Jail without bail. Police said Quick could also face assault charges, depending on how doctors evaluate his father's injuries.
