Bath woman arrested after allegedly abandoning dog who later died

BATH, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - A 26-year-old Bath woman is behind bars, charged with abandoning a pug who later died.

It's alleged that Jillian Nolan abandoned the dog in a car on Buck Settlement Road in Bath last May. The dog was found deceased in September, and Nolan was arrested on Thursday, December 14.

Due to the condition of the remains of the dog, a cause of death could not be determined.

Nolan is charged with abandonment of an animal, a misdemeanor.

She is currently in the Steuben County jail on a separate charge, and was issued a ticket to appear back in court January 17.
