Convicted Xbox Killer Sentenced Friday

ELMIRA, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - The Elmira man found guilty in the Xbox murder case is set to be sentenced Friday.

A jury found Akeem Williams guilty last month of murder and criminal possession of a weapon charges. Williams faces 25-years to life in prison at sentencing in Chemung County Court.

On June 23rd 2016, Williams confronted Tiko Heads over a missing Xbox system. Head died from a single gun shot wound to the chest during the argument.

Williams was tried in August, however, a jury was unable to reach a decision at that time.
