CORTLAND, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - A Chenango County man is under arrest after he allegedly posted a Snapchat video in which he can be seen firing an assault rifle with the caption “Cortland High School watch out.”
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jensen Schack, of County Road 16 in the Town of Plymouth on Saturday after they recovered what investigators described as an AR style semi-automatic rifle.
Schack has been charged with making a terroristic threat.
He was jailed in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or bond on Saturday following his arraignment.
In a profanity laden statement to the Sheriff’s Office, Schack indicated that the video was a joke.
“I thought everyone on my Snapchat would understand my [expletive] sense of humor but I guess [expletive] not,” he said.
Schack graduated from Cortland High School in 2016.
