Corning Man Facing Child Endangerment, Assault Charges

CORNING, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - A Corning man is facing several charges after police said he struck a 14-year old in the face this past fall.

Corning Police said Chad Felker, 36, was arrested and charged with Assault, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child on Friday night.

Police said Felker allegedly hit the teenager with an unspecified object in September, but the incident wasn't reported until this past Thursday. They said the victim sustained temporary visual impairment, redness, swelling and bruising after being struck by Felker.

He was issued an Order of Protection to stay away from the victim released on his own recognizance. He will be back in court Jan. 2.
