ELMIRA, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - An Elmira man who pled guilty to first-degree manslaughter in the stabbing death of a 22-year-old has been sentenced to eight years in prison.
Joshua DeMellier, 27, was accused of fatally stabbing Ellis Kittles back in June, 2014.
Kittles was found with a stab wound near the area of South Main Street and West Chemung Place in Elmira.
He died a short time later at a local hospital.
DeMellier is already serving a 25-year sentence for his involvement in a shooting on Sullivan Street in Elmira that took place just a week prior to the stabbing.
