HORNELL, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - On Tuesday night, multiple fire departments battled flames that engulfed the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Hornell.
Around 8:30 p.m., multiple law enforcement agencies and first responders arrived at the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Center Street in Hornell, to find smoke billowing out of the building.
The Hornell, South Hornell, and Canisteo fire departments fought the fire late into Tuesday night to bring the flames under control.
Law enforcement was forced to block off Erie Avenue, Center Street, and Loder Street.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
