Hundreds turn out to pay their respects to fallen State Trooper

(NBC NEWS) - So many people paid their respects to fallen State Trooper Joel Davis Friday, that a shuttle service had to be set up at the school district where services are being held.

Davis was shot and killed this past Sunday while responding to a report of domestic violence.

Calling hours were held earlier this afternoon, but services really began hours before that when Trooper Davis was escorted to Fort Drum for calling hours.

People who live and work near the school said it's been both difficult and comforting to see law enforcement lineup each day to stand beside the Trooper's family.
