Ken Miller announces run for Chemung County Executive

HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - Ken Miller officially announced his run for Chemung County Executive Saturday night.

The three term legislator made the announcement at the American Legion in Horseheads.

Miller represents District 5, which includes the Towns of Erin and Horseheads.

Miller has been a small business owner for over 25 years and has also served as a volunteer firefighter for 13 years with the Town & Country Fire Department.

"Chemung County, listen to this, this is your first opportunity in many many years, to pick from three people that are running in the Republican ticket to decide which one is best," Miller said in his speech.  "Don't blow it, listen to everybody and decide for yourself, who is going to do what's right, who is motivated and who is going to bring some new ideas and make our county great again."

Miller is the third Republican in the race, joining Chemung County Deputy Mike Krusen and County Sheriff Chris Moss.
