Sheriff issues warning about "One Pot" meth

VETERAN, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - The Chemung County Sheriff issued new details Friday morning concerning the case of meth found in the Town of Veteran.


Yesterday while patrolling the Catherine Valley Trail in the Town of Veteran deputies encounted 2 suspicious individuals who were in the process of manufacturing meth. The method being used in this particular case is a popular way to manufacture meth, often referred to as the "one pot" method. Pictured below is the actual "one pot" the ingredients were being carried, mixed and stored until the process is complete. If you encounter similar bottles/containers DO NOT TOUCH OR APPROACH as they very dangerous, please contact law enforcement. Always be vigilant and report any suspicious activity on or around the trail.

The Chemung County Sheriff's Office dispatched a meth operation in Veteran Thursday night. 

Around 8:30 p.m., Sheriff Chris Moss posted a picture of police activity near a residence in Veteran. 

At this time, it is unclear if any arrests were made.
