One dead after vehicle goes airborne on Cotton Hollow Road

BRADFORD COUNTY, Pa. (18 NEWS) - A Pennsylvania man is dead after his vehicle went airborne and crashed into a tree. 

Around 4:30 p.m., State Police in Towanda responded to an accident on Cotton Hollow Road where 37-year-old Jeffrey Wheeler, of Windham Township, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police say Wheeler's Chevy Silverado was traveling at high speeds when he struck a culvert, lost control of his vehicle, and crashed into a tree. 

State troopers say Wheeler was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
