CORNING, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - Corning Police arrested 20-year-old Ali Muhammad Jr. of Elmira for a domestic felony assault in the Town of Corning.
Police say they responded to a domestic dispute between Muhammad and his girlfriend, earlier this afternoon.
The victim says Muhammad burned her face with a cigarette during a verbal argument.
He was taken into custody a short time later and charged with second-degree assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
Muhammad was arraigned in the City of Corning Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of a $ 2,500 cash bail.
