Poll: Cuomo Holds 37 Point Lead Over Astorino

(18 NEWS) – According to a new Siena College survey, New York Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo has a 37 percentage point lead over his GOP opponent Rob Astorino.

The poll, released Monday, has Cuomo leading Astorino 60% to 23%. It also indicates more than six in ten say they have a favorable rating of Cuomo, with half saying they approve of the job he’s doing in office.

Astorino has a 20% to 19% favorable/unfavorable rating, with more than six in ten having no opinion of him.

In a recent Wall Street Journal poll, Cuomo held a 59% to 24% lead over Astorino.

Astorino is running with Chemung County Sheriff Chris Moss. Cuomo is running with former Congressional representative Kathy Hochul.
