Robertson Posts Best Quarterly Fundraising Numbers Yet

(WETM-18) – As the contested congressional race in the 23rd District continues, 2014 1st Quarter campaign finance reports are coming due. Democratic challenger Martha Robertson has released her 1st Quarter numbers, and they show she’s had her best quarter thus far.

According to a press release from the Martha Robertson campaign, she raised more than $325,000 from January 1st, 2014 to the end of March. That’s the campaign’s best quarter by more than $50,000.

Since April of last year, the Robertson campaign has raised more than $1,050,000. Her total cash on hand, following expenses, sits at over $810,000, according to her campaign. Campaign financial documents for the 1st Quarter of 2014 have not yet been posted to the Federal Election Commission website.

In the press release, Robertson says more than 4,500 people have given to her campaign, with 91% of them donating less than $250 so far. The campaign goes on to say that 70% of the campaigns funds have been raised from within New York State.

Despite their best fundraising quarter to date, the Robertson campaign still trails Congressman Tom Reed’s campaign in total money raised, and cash on hand.

Reed’s campaign has not yet released their 1st Quarter numbers from this year. Their 2013 year-end report showed the campaign with $918,446 cash on hand, after bringing in $1,489,231 in 2013.

1st Quarter reports are due to be filed with the FEC by April 15th.
