Sentencing for a Syracuse man who beat his 21-month-old daughter to death and then burned her body has been adjourned until November.

Ryan Lawrence was initially scheduled to be sentenced on Friday.

At the request of the defense, Lawrence will now be sentenced on Nov. 9.

Lawrence pleaded guilty to first and second-degree murder in connection with the death of Maddox Lawrence on Sept. 15.

He will be sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.

The sentences will be served concurrently.

He also waived his right to an appeal.

Lawrence will be eligible for parole in 25 years.

The baby's body was found lying in the water near the Inner Harbor.

An Amber Alert was issued the morning after Ryan and Maddox Lawrence disappeared from their Valley neighborhood home on Saturday, Feb. 20.

Morgan Lawrence contacted police after she found their family car in the Destiny USA parking lot and drove home - where she discovered a message from Ryan.

The contents of the message alarmed police when they responded to the home.

Ryan Lawrence was picked up by police in the village of Baldwinsville the following Monday.
