New York Statewide e-cigarette law goes into effect

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - A law will go into effect on Wednesday banning the use of e-cigarettes at work, restaurants, and bars in New York.

Vaping has been marketed as a healthy alternative to smoking cigarettes but little is known about the long-term effects.

The new law is targeted at protecting non-smokers from exposure while also discouraging teenagers from using them.
