Steuben County set to approve new substance abuse treatment program

BATH, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - Steuben County legislators are expected to approve a new partnership for substance abuse treatment when they meet in regular session next Monday. 

A proposed medically managed detoxification program will be located at Arnot Health Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital, with the County Community Services’ Steuben County Alcohol & Substance Abuse Services (SCASAS) providing onsite substance abuse evaluations of individuals receiving treatment through the hospital’s detoxification program.

Another effort – the county’s second Substance Abuse Forum – is set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Hornell High School Auditorium.
