Teacher and coach is charged with stealing from youth club

TOWANDA, P.a. (18 NEWS) - A Towanda teacher faces charges of stealing money from the Towanda Youth Wrestling Club.

Forty six-year old Robert Watkins is accused of two counts of forgery and one count of theft totaling nearly $20,000.

The incidents took place between March, 2016 and November, 2017.

Watkins is a teacher at Towanda-Area Junior-Senior High School and is the junior high wrestling coach.

He was released on $10,000 and will be back in court February 7th.
