Teenager allegedly stole car, attempted to kill Father

CORNING, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - A Pennsylvania teenager is behind bars facing multiple charges after he allegedly stole a car and attempted to kill his father with a large knife. 

Around 3 p.m. on Sunday, Corning Police Officers responded to Walter Smith Terrace for a report of a man chasing his father with a knife. 

Officers were already in the area on a tip from Pennsylvania State Police out of Mansfield that Bryler Bulkley, 17, of Elkland, Pa. was armed with a knife and driving a stolen maroon Chevrolet Equinox with Pennsylvania plates. 

Bulkley was arrested without incident, and nobody was injured. Officers did discover a large kitchen knife in the vehicle that he had reportedly stolen.

Bulkley was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, a felony, as well as Menacing and Criminal Possession of a Weapon, both misdemeanors. 

He was sent to the Steuben County jail on $1,000 cash bail, $2,000 property bond.
