Three Hornell Men Facing Burglary, Weapons Charges

HORNELL, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - Three men from Hornell are facing a slew of charges after police conducted an investigation into a residential burglary in the city this week.

Hornell Police say 21-year-old Rockie J. Hoose and 19-year-old George B.J. Brockway are each charged with Burglary, eight counts of Grand Larceny, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Criminal Sale of a Firearm.

Hoose also faces a parole violation charge.

22-year-old James Pitts is also charged with four counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminal Possession of Marijuana.

All three men were arraigned in Hornell City Court on Friday. They were sent to the Steuben County Jail without bail.

Police said the arrests stem from an investigation into a burglary in the City of Hornell reported on July 12 in which four loaded handguns were stolen. Officers found three of the four stolen guns in two separate searches on July 13. The fourth gun was turned in to police on July 14 by a cooperating resident.

Police said their investigation is ongoing, and there may be more arrests in the future. Anyone with information is asked to call Hornell Police.
