SAYRE, PA (18 NEWS) - - After more than one year of planning, the very first Trinity outpatient treatment center in Pennsylvania opened Monday.
It's located at 100 Henry Street in Sayre.
The substance abuse outpatient clinic offers prevention education, treatment, referrals and recovery services for both youth and adults.
The clinic expanded into Pennsylvania after a local task force recognized a need in the area.
Before Trinity in Bradford County opened, the closest treatment center to Sayre was about a 30 minute drive.
"We started to see a lot more Pennsylvania individuals coming to our clinic in New York in Elmira, so we had a population from the state that was traveling over the boarder to New York because we were the closest clinic and we didn't take some of the insurances in New York state so the need to come to Pennsylvania and be able to serve them in their home state was identified a while back,” Trinity of Bradford County CEO, Ann Domingos said.
An official ribbon cutting for the location will be held on Wednesday January 13 at 11 AM.
