Two arrested following pellet gun shooting spree

ELMIRA, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - Two men are behind bars Monday night after shooting up vehicles and businesses throughout Chemung and Tioga counties.

New York State Police arrested Cody Keller, 21, of Waverly and Jayden Elia, 20, of Spencer, after stealing two high-powered pellet guns to shoot the windows of several area businesses and parked cars. 

Their shooting spree included nearly 50 incidents in the City of Elmira and nearly a dozen in the County Route 64 retail corridor. 

The two are facing nearly 75 counts of Criminal Mischief charges and additional charges will be filed once all victims have been identified and damage estimates are gathered. 

Keller and Elia will be arraigned in the Town of Horseheads Court with bail recommended at $10,000 cash, $20,000 property bond.
