BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT-TV) - Police have arrested 20-year-old Binghamton University Student Michael Roque in connection with the stabbing of 19-year-old Binghamton University engineering student Joao Souza Sunday night on campus.
He was arraigned this evening and was charged with second degree murder.
Broome County District Attorney Steve Cornwell said, "We spoke to many witnesses and many leads were developed and still had to be followed up on. They canvassed the areas, searching in different areas and conducting different searches and all of those things were done."
Cornwell says Roque was taken in to custody in his dorm room Monday afternoon.
