CORNING, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - Despite competing with online sales on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, small businesses said they had constant foot traffic on Small Business Saturday this weekend.
What helped with sales in the Gaffer District was the Parade of the Lights event taking place on the same day throughout the city streets.
Connors Mercantile said it had a good turnout.
"We had a great Small Business Saturday," Store Manager Jill Agosta said. "From the time we opened until we closed, it was just bustling with people. It was our best Small Business Saturday ever."
If you missed out on Saturday, the store, along with some others, will be continuing some deals until the end of the holiday season.
The discounts might not be as great, but you can call ahead or check social media accounts to see what they have going on.
