MOSCOW, RUSSIA - Molly Huddle might want to get used to wearing the Red, White and Blue of the United States. The Elmira, NY native held nothing back at the World Championships for Team USA, placing 6th in the 5000M IAAF World Championship Saturday.
Huddle entered the event seeded 11th, but the Notre Dame grad wouldn't be stopped, placing higher than any other American ever in the event. Team USA had 3 runners place inside the top 12.
2012 Olympic gold medalist Meseret Defar of Ethiopia won the event, with a time of 14 minutes and 50 seconds.
