Elmira got the game rolling in the top of the second inning with a ground ball out from Chris Kalousdian (Manhattan) that scored Ryan Plantier (Cornell) after he reached on single to left field. A hard hit double by catcher Jacob Meehan moved Plantier to third base and set up the RBI for Kalousdian.

Late bats were the answer for the Elmira as they cut the lead to two in the seventh and tied it with a two run eighth. The big blow defensively for the Golden Eagles was the throwing error by catcher JP Rousseau (Vanier, Quebec) in the eighth inning that allowed a run to score from first, and the eventual tying run to get to third. A single in the ninth by Kalousdian to left field scored Dave Hoffman (Siena) as he led the way with a walk and ended up being the game winning run.
Danny Britt (Trinity Christian) took the mound for the Pioneers throwing four innings and striking out four batters along the way. The win goes to the bullpen for this game, as a collective they gave up no runs on only three hits. Parker Curry (Samford), notched his second win of the season as he came in and threw two innings of scoreless innings.
