ALBANY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - The FBI is investigating Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office’s hiring practices, according to a report from the Albany Times Union.
According to the Albany newspaper, the FBI is looking into the alleged practice of hiring people to work in the Governor’s office, while paying them through other entities.
The paper indicated that the practice has enabled New York’s Governors to expand their own staffs without bloating their budget.
A Cuomo spokesman described the FBI’s line of questioning as absurd, according to the Times Union.
