Syracuse, N.Y. – A preseason rally for the Syracuse Orange basketball team ended early after a man was stabbed.
It happened at the Carrier Dome on the Syracuse University campus around 9:30 Friday night.
Thousands of people took part in the annual Orange Madness rally, but things turned sour when a 25-year-old man was stabbed in the concourse area in the dome. The victim is in stable condition in the hospital and is expected to survive.
Police say everyone else was able to make it out of the building safely. The victim and suspect are not affiliated in any way with the school, police said.
