2017 Chemung County Sports HOF Class Enshrined

New class talks honor of being inducted

ELMIRA, N.Y. (18 SPORTS) - A group of 10 players and two coaches take their rightful place in history.

On Wednesday night, in between the final game of the first day at the Josh Palmer Holiday Inn Classic, the 2017 class of the Chemung County Sports Hall of Fame was enshrined. Before a capacity crowd at Elmira High School, the newest hall of fame class was presented with a special plaque following an announcement on their career accomplishments. 

18 Sports spoke with two members of the new class, former NFL cheerleader and Horseheads native, Alexis Gilliam-Suter. Plus, former Colgate University football standout Cory Kilpatrick, an Elmira Notre Dame grad, discusses the honor and the moment he received the hall of fame letter of induction.
