CORNING, N.Y. (18 SPORTS) - Corning boys lacrosse started off slow but pulled away from visiting Johnson City on Wednesday night.
Aidan Olmstead scored three goals and had two assists while Cian Collins scored three goals of his own to beat the Wildcats 10-3. After a scoreless first quarter, Collins scored the first goal of the game in the second quarter but Johnson City answered to tie it at 1.
The Hawks responded with a rocket goal from Brendyn Hogue and then another from Collins to take a 3-1 lead into the break. Corning then took control in the second half and pulled away from the Wildcats.
On the college circuit, #5 SUNY Albany beat Binghamton on the road 10-4. Watch the highlights from a busy night in local lacrosse.
