Elmira College Men's Hockey Falls to Utica College in UCHC Championship Game

The top-seeded Pioneers defeat the Soaring Eagles 8-3

UTICA, N.Y. (18 SPORTS) - The fifth-seeded Elmira College Soaring Eagles men's hockey team lost to top-seeded Utica College 8-3 in the inaugural UCHC Championship Game on Saturday in Utica.

The Pioneers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period on power-play goals by Gregg Burmaster, Daniel Fritz, and Roman Ammirato.

Utica scored the first five goals of the game.

Anthony Parrucci and Nick Ford scored two straight power-play goals for Elmira College in the second period to cut the lead to 5-2.
