Elmira Girls Basketball Faces Huge STAC Test

Unbeaten Susquehanna Valley awaits

ELMIRA, N.Y. (18 SPORTS) - On Wednesday night, Elmira girls basketball eyes a STAC title.

In a battle for the STAC Championship, Elmira (17-1) will square off with unbeaten Susquehanna Valley at 5:30 p.m. at Maine-Endwell high school. The Express is ranked fourth while the Sabers are at second in their respective NYS Class AA and B rankings.

These two programs are no strangers to each other. They scrimmaged before the start of the season and Susquehanna Valley holds a victory over Seton Catholic, the only team who's beaten Elmira this year.

Elmira head coach Jake Dailey tells 18 Sports that standout guard Kiara Fisher will be a game-time decision after nursing a shoulder injury. Take a look at a special preview for Wednesday night's game.
