Elmira Wins Team Title at Section IV Division I Wrestling Championships

Tioga wins team title in Division II

ELMIRA, N.Y. (18 SPORTS) - The Elmira Express wrestling team won the team title at the Section IV Division I wrestling championships at Binghamton University on Saturday.

The Express crowned three champions in Blake Brooks (106), Ben Howe (138) and Charlie Mahon (182).

Horseheads finished in second place just 4.5 points behind Elmira and crowned four champs in Devin Woodworth (120), Jake Scibek (132), Jesse Johnson (160), and Chris Eames (170).

Scibek was named most outstanding wrestler.

Corning crowned three champs in Drew Witham (113), Chase Daudelin (126), and Matt Kline (145).

Tioga won the team title at the Section IV Division II wrestling championships at Watkins Glen High School.

John Worthing (113) and Max Johnson (160) won titles for the Tigers.

Grady Alpert (170) won a sectional title for Spencer-Van Etten/Candor.
