ENDICOTT, N.Y. (18 SPORTS) - The Corning Hawks baseball team defeated the Union-Endicott Tigers 6-3 to win a STAC championship on Monday in Endicott.
Corning would jump out to an early lead by scoring two runs in the first inning.
Trevor Henneman doubled down the third base line to put runners at second and third base for Corning.
Kellan Beall grounded out to second to drive in Adam Zingler as the Hawks took a 1-0 lead.
Henneman would score later in the inning on a throwing error to first base on a pick-off attempt.
Zingler hit an RBI single up the middle in the second inning to put the Hawks in front 3-0.
Corning improves to 13-4 this season.
