Kendra Oldroyd Talks Soccer Milestone

Express standout eclipses 100 goals scored

ELMIRA, N.Y. (18 SPORTS) - It's been a remarkable career for Elmira's Kendra Oldroyd, and it has plenty more to go.

Oldroyd, a senior standout for the Express, is now tied for the all-time goals scored lead in Elmira history -both boys and girls- with a staggering 101 for her career. Kendra is tied with former Elmira great Jonny Phummany. Through the years, Oldroyd has grown into one of the most dominant players in the region. A title she believes would not even be possible without the team.

Oldroyd has a chance to break the all-time record this coming Monday when Elmira hosts either Vestal of Chenango Forks in the STAC Championship at home. On Wednesday, 18 Sports took the opportunity to speak with Elmira head coach Zach Sarno and Oldroyd on what's been the key to success. And, what's been the driving force of scoring many goals in Kendra's high school career.
