American Journalist Back Home

Freed After 22 Months
American journalist Theo Curtis is back in the U.S. after being held captive in Syria for the past 22 months.

Curtis was freed over the weekend by a Syrian extremist group.

He was reunited with his mother last night at Boston Logan International Airport.

The 45-year old Curtis says he is "deeply indebted" to the officials who negotiated his freedom.

His release comes just days after the execution of journalist, James Foley.

Another American, Austin Tice of Houston, disappeared in August of 2012 and is believed to still be a captive of the Syrian government.
