Danny Hobbs Called Up to Binghamton

Forward Danny Hobbs has been recalled from his loan by the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.
ELMIRA, N.Y. - The Elmira Jackals announced today that forward Danny Hobbs has been recalled from his loan by the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League. Additionally, the Jackals have signed forward Evan Haney to an amateur tryout agreement.

 

Hobbs, who is under contract to AHL Binghamton, has been called up for the second time this season. The 24-year-old winger recorded a goal and an assist in his AHL debut on February 1, 2014 at Portland. Hobbs currently is tied with Mike Vaskivuo for the Jackals' team lead in goals goals with 16 and ranks third overall with 33 points. He has been one of Elmira's top scorers through the second half of the season with 18 points (8 goals, 10 assists) in 18 games since January 16.

Haney, 23, joins the Jackals after finishing his collegiate career at NCAA-III Hamilton College. A 6-foot-2, 205-pound forward, Haney has served as Hamilton's captain for the last two years and was an alternate captain as a sophomore in 2011-12. A native of Ste-Marthe, Quebec, Haney registered 28 points (14 goals, 14 assists) in 76 games at Hamilton.
