Demkov Returns To Elmira

Elmira announced today that forward Artem Demkov has been loaned to the team from the Albany Devils.
ELMIRA, N.Y.  - The Elmira Jackals announced today that forward Artem Demkov has been loaned to the team from the Albany Devils of the American Hockey League.

Demkov, 24, recorded 11 points (6 goals, 5 assists) and a plus-6 rating in 22 AHL games with Albany. He earned his first promotion to the AHL on December 3 when he was loaned to the Devils on a professional tryout. Albany then signed Demkov to a standard player contract on December 13. He attended training camp with Albany this year but started the season in Elmira. He led the Jackals in scoring with 10 goals and 12 points in 17 games at the time of his call up. The Minsk, Belarus native scored in his first AHL game on December 4 against Springfield. The winger also strung together a five-game point streak (3 goals, 2 assists) from January 10-18 with the Devils.  

 

Demkov has joined the Jackals in Elmira and is expected to be in the lineup tonight against Kalamazoo.
