In Elmira's only two games last week, both against Lycoming College, Puglisi proved to be the difference in both games, not only with her pitching but also with her bat. The Shelton, CT native tossed a complete game shutout, striking out six batters while allowing just three hits as Elmira won 5-0 in game one. She would not pitch in game two, but her effort at the plate in both games more than made up for it as she batted 2-for-3, bringing home five runs as she launched two home runs.
Elmira will be back in action this Friday, April 11th when the Soaring Eagles host Ithaca College in EC's Empire 8 Conference opening doubleheader. The doubleheader is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m. at Eldridge Park Stadium in Elmira, NY.
