Garcia Pinto holds on for Challenge Tour win

Lumbres, France (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordi Garcia Pinto carded a bogey-free, 1-under-par 70 on Sunday and earned a 3-stroke victory at the Najeti Hotels et Golfs Open.

Garcia Pinto finished the week at 7-under 277 at Aa Saint Omer Golf Club for his first win of the season and second of his career on the European Challenge Tour.

The Spaniard, who entered the final day with a 2-shot lead, made all pars on the front nine. Making the turn at the par-4 10th, Garcia Pinto made birdie before closing his round out with eight straight pars.

Garcia Pinto set the pace for the tournament when he shot a 6-under 65 in the second round Friday. He also shot even-par 71 in both the first and third rounds before closing things out with a 70 on Sunday.

Carlos Aguilar finished in sole possession of second place at 4-under 280 after shooting an even-par 70 Sunday. Mark Tullo (68), Scott Henry (69), Lloyd Kennedy (71), Lorenzo Gagli (71) and Andrea Rota (72) all ended tied for third at 2-under 282.
