IceMen Hire Mullins As Head Coach

Evansville has found their new head coach, leading to a new search for the Elmira Jackals.
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM-TV) - When the Elmira Jackals hit the ice in 2014, they'll have a new NHL affiliate, a new AHL affiliate, and a new head coach.

Thursday, the Evansville IceMen of the ECHL announced Dwight Mullins as their new head coach, bringing his two season with the Jackals to an end.

Mullins coached the Jackals to the Kelly Cup Playoffs during the 2012-2013 season, finishing 42-28-3.  But the 2013-2014 campaign saw a complete reversal, finishing with only 24 wins, 40 losses, and 3 overtime losses.  Elmira's streak of playoff appearances came to an end.

The Jackals start their new season at home, against Kalamazoo on October 17th.
