According to Triple A, gas prices this labor day weekend are at a record low for the past few years.
While gas prices are down, holiday travel is on the rise. AAA estimates 35 million travelers will be on the roads this weekend for the holiday. This number is the highest recorded for Labor Day weekend since the recession in 2008.
While gas prices are down for this weekend and on an annual scale, New York state is ranked number nine in the top ten most expensive gas prices on a national average.
