Pioneers Shutdown Power

Elmira takes a break from PGCBL play to top an opponent from the NYCBL.
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM-TV) - Elmira ended their three game skid with back-to-back wins over Utica on Saturday, and stretched their winning streak to three games with a win over Niagara on Sunday.

The Pioneers took a break from Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League play, and hosted the Niagara Power of the New York Collegiate Baseball League.

Elmira jumped out to an early 6-0 lead after two innings, and never looked back.  A three run double by Nick Walker highlighted the second inning.

The Pioneers finished their weekend with a 13-4 win, and will return to the road tomorrow night, at Adirondack.
