Where am I now??? Sunny Florida! I'm working for WETM's sister station, Action News, in Jacksonville, Fla. So, lucky for all of you, you may get to see me from time to time!
It seems like only yesterday I was walking in to report for WETM, covering snow storms and chasing Bucky Phillips. I'm still chasing down criminals, but now covering hurricanes and hot weather. I worked at WETM from 2004 to 2007, then went on to work in Rochester until moving down to Florida in 2009. Since leaving WETM, I've received New York's Associated Press award for best spot news coverage. I also covered the Buffalo plane crash tragedy that killed 50 people for the Today Show and MSNBC.
I still teach ice skating, although it's not as popular in a warm state! Needless to say, these days, I spend all my free time at the beach. I do still have a daily reminder from my time in the Twin Tiers. I bought my cat princess while out on a story at the SPCA in Big Flats. She spends her days sitting out on the porch!
I was honored to be included in this new section of the website, and still keep in contact with the numerous friends I made while working in the Twin Tiers. New York will always be my home. Feel free to check out some of my stories! www.actionnewsjax.com or you can ask my grandparents how I'm doing. They still live in Horseheads!
