Alivia joined the 18 Storm Team in July of 2023 as the weekend meteorologist and multimedia journalist. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in meteorology and a Spanish minor and is a proud Hokie. In school, she danced, participated in multiple cultural organizations, and helped run a free grocery store/food access program for VT students. Before joining WETM, she filled in over the winter at WVVA as the weekend meteorologist in Bluefield, West Virginia.
Alivia was born and raised in Alpharetta, Georgia. She has always been interested in the sciences but found a passion for weather when she was in the 4th grade. Some of her fondest memories are watching the weather every morning with her parents, wishing to see even a little bit of snow each winter. Alivia is excited to move to this neck of the woods so that she can get plenty of snow and learn all that the Twin Tiers have to offer.
Alivia is a proud auntie, plant mom, foodie, and she loves cooking, hiking, and music. She is most excited to inspire more young black girls in STEAM.
