
Ariel Salk joined the WETM 18 News Team as a multi-media journalist and Corning Bureau Chief in September 2019.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Ariel went to the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism of ASU where she received a B.S. degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. There she was a political reporter for Cronkite News aired on AZ PBS. She had internships at two top market stations as an investigative journalist intern at the NBC affiliate KPNX and a digital reporter intern at the CBS affiliate KPHO.
When Ariel graduated she had a fellowship with News21, an investigative reporting project through the Knight Foundation.
When Ariel isn’t reporting or investigating she loves to cook, go on adventures, and spend time with her loved ones.
Ariel is looking forward to learning all she can about the Twin Tier areas and becoming part of this community.
