Chelsea Lovell joined the News 18 team in July 2020, as a digital MMJ reporter, currently she is an 18 News Today morning show anchor and reporter.
From Queens New York, Chelsea is a recent graduate of the University of Miami where she majored in broadcast journalism with minors in public relations and dance.
During her time at UM she was an executive producer, host, and reporter for UMTV, the campus television station. She was also a member of the Sunsations Dance Team, a senator for student government, the president of the Society of Professional Journalists, and the host of home baseball and women’s basketball games.
Chelsea gained her journalism experience prior to News 18, interning with NBC 6 in Miami, and E! News in LA. She also worked as a writer for Channel 7 WSVN in Miami.
When she’s not working, Chelsea enjoys dancing, watching movies, and any sort of adventure she can find.
Chelsea is excited to get to know the Elmira community and explore all that the Twin Tiers has to offer.
